As a result of a strategic realignment, the MTC Group was declared non-core within the AC Industrials Group. In order to ensure the sustainable success of the Group, the Seller decided to sell 100% of its shares.
Due to an unclear strategic direction and various external factors, such as the automotive crisis, the Group has recently come under increasing pressure. In order to remain competitive, especially in mould making, the Seller has made extensive investments in recent years. In addition, considerable cost-cutting programmes have been initiated to counteract the cost pressure. Other key measures are a reduction in the complexity of the historically inorganically grown Group and the establishment of a central and active sales organisation.
MTC Group is the second group of companies in the Callista model building segment alongside Schäfer Group and thus represents a significant step towards consolidation of the highly fragmented market.
