Callista Private Equity GmbH (“Callista Private Equity”) announces the acquisition for the entire shares of Globus Gummiwerke GmbH (prospectively Poppe Ahrensbök GmbH) by Callista Holdings GmbH & Co.KG. All conditions precedent have been fulfilled by the parties and the shares of the Globus Gummiwerke GmbH are now transferred. The Poppe Ahrensbök GmbH was formerly owned by Poppe GmbH Gießen, a previous group entity of the Poppe-VERITAS-Group, which intends to focus on their core business and thus divested this business within a structured process for a single-digit million purchase price.
Mr. Marc Zube has been immediately appointed as Managing Director and will lead the restructuring on-site as representative of the new shareholder.
The Globus Gummiwerke GmbH, with its 100 year history as a traditional family business, as a supplier in markets for elastomerics and technical tubular rings, wins over its high expertise in material, development and the manufacturing process. The company generates over EUR 32 million in revenues with its 235 employees.
In the two months between Signing and Closing, Callista Private Equity has setup a profound funding for the restructuring and debt relief. This is a main milestone for a sustainable growth.
