Everyday Electric Mobility – Expert Advice, Test Rides, and Reliable Service

m-way is one of Switzerland’s leading providers of e-bikes and bicycles. The company combines a nationwide network of stores with personalized expert advice, in-house workshop expertise, and a seamless digital offering, making electric mobility accessible, reliable, and built to last for everyday use.

With more than 30 locations across German-speaking Switzerland, French-speaking Switzerland, and Valais, m-way offers a carefully curated selection of leading brands, ranging from everyday and trekking e-bikes to sporty models and classic bicycles. Trained mechanics handle assembly, servicing, repairs, and warranty claims. The company’s in-house workshops are far more than an additional service—they help maximize the lifespan of every bike and support customers well beyond the point of purchase. Complementing its retail business is a high-performance online shop offering home delivery throughout Switzerland, alongside a growing business serving corporate and large-scale customers. Advice, test rides, purchasing, and after-sales service are seamlessly integrated across channels, allowing customers to research online, test bikes in-store, and rely on expert workshop support throughout the ownership experience. Technical expertise, close customer relationships, and a strong commitment to quality form the foundation of m-way’s long-term approach. From the initial consultation to many years of ownership, m-way supports its customers with knowledgeable, personal, and dependable service.

Transaction & Strategy

With the acquisition of m-way, Callista is acquiring an established Swiss specialty retailer with a strong brand, nationwide presence, and extensive service expertise. As part of its strategic focus, the seller is divesting a non-core retail business.

Under new ownership, m-way will operate as an independent company. Existing dependencies on the former corporate group will be eliminated, while the organization, processes, and systems will be systematically realigned to support the company’s standalone structure and long-term profitability. The strategic focus is on strengthening the highly profitable core business: high-performing stores in attractive catchment areas, a high-margin workshop and service business, and the continued expansion of the omnichannel offering that seamlessly integrates the online shop with the physical store network. In addition, the company will further develop its business with corporate and large-scale customers. Following the exceptional pandemic years, the Swiss bicycle and e-bike market has entered a phase of consolidation. Within this environment, m-way is positioning itself as a trusted specialty retailer with a clear focus on customer service and expertise, creating a strong foundation for sustainable, profitable growth as an independent business.
