Chief Financial Officer – Portfolio Company (m/f/d)

within the Callista Group.

Your key responsibilities:

  • Overall commercial responsibility for the company
  • Professional and disciplinary leadership of all finance functions (accounting, controlling, procurement & materials management, HR, and IT)
  • Close collaboration with the CEO in developing and implementing turnaround plans as well as driving the company’s strategic development
  • Preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with HGB and IFRS
  • Management of special projects, e.g., implementation of a new ERP system
  • Management and monitoring of liquidity and cash flows



Your Profile:

  • Successfully completed degree in business administration or a comparable qualification
  • At least 5 years of relevant professional and leadership experience, preferably in finance or controlling, ideally within a medium-sized industrial company
  • In-depth knowledge in controlling, accounting, and cost accounting
  • Experience in developing established structures and processes, as well as in the professionalization of medium-sized organizations
  • Strong analytical thinking and high affinity for numbers
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and hands-on approach
  • Excellent communication skills

You are seeking a responsible, challenging, and diverse role with strong development potential, up to full commercial management? Then take this opportunity to actively shape the development of one of our portfolio companies.

Your key responsibilities:

  • Responsibility for market and competitive analysis as well as positioning the company in the international market
  • Development and accountable implementation of product-market strategy, including go-to-market plans and strategic sales targets
  • Full budget responsibility for sales and marketing, as well as overall responsibility for pricing in cooperation with controlling and executive management
  • Planning, steering, and monitoring of sales activities to unlock further revenue potential and ensure achievement of sales targets
  • Further development of the company’s sales strategy
  • Responsibility for sales planning and the company’s forecasting process
  • Optimization of sales organization, establishment of structures, and definition of processes
  • Responsibility for customer acquisition and expansion of strategic customer relationships, including negotiation and management of strategically important contracts with existing and new clients
  • Leadership, training, and development of employees in sales and marketing
  • Close cooperation with executive management as well as cross-functional collaboration with other departments

 

Your Profile:

  • Completed technical or business degree or a comparable qualification
  • Several years of successful professional and leadership experience in sales of rubber products
  • Solid knowledge of markets, industries, and competitors
  • Strong expertise in handling product- and customer-specific requirements with regard to certifications
  • Independent, structured, and systematic way of working combined with a proactive drive for continuous improvement and deepening of subject-matter and methodological skills
  • Affinity for technical products/materials
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and results-oriented working style
  • Appreciative and motivating leadership style

You will work with us full-time, with flexible working hours. At Callista, you will gain deep insights into the entire investment process.


Your key responsibilities:

  • Research and preparation of information on relevant target companies
  • Support in company, financial, and market analyses
  • Preparation of integrated financial models, business plans, and company valuations
  • Support in due diligence processes
  • Preparation of presentations
  • General back-office assistance



Your Profile:

  • Degree in business administration, economics, or a comparable field
  • Solid understanding of business fundamentals
  • Above-average commitment and excellent analytical skills
  • Strong communication skills combined with a high level of team spirit and dedication
  • Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint
  • Previous experience in investment, private equity, or M&A is desirable
  • Very good English skills
