Globus Gummiwerke GmbH

As a long-standing subsidiary of the Poppe-Veritas Group, Globus Gummiwerke was strongly integrated into the Group structures. Management services were provided by the Group, internal management capacities of Globus were limited. Problems with the relocation of operations from Gießen to Ahrensbök led to considerable production and delivery difficulties.

During the intensive and complex carve-out, independent business structures were implemented, which had previously been provided by the parent company. The subsequent restructuring, which lasted several years, encompassed the entire value chain. Purchasing was optimized and switched from single-sourcing to multi-sourcing. At the same time, a sales team was set up to enter new market segments. Internal process optimizations and investments in automation were implemented. In the meantime, the restructuring has been completed and Globus is set for further growth.
