Transaction & Strategy

Given the economically challenging situation of both the steel foundry and the steel mill, Dörrenberg decided to pursue a strategic sale. The goal was to identify a new owner capable of fully unlocking the potential of both business units despite difficult market conditions. Through intensive yet focused and successful negotiations between Dörrenberg and Callista, a sustainable solution was developed that enables a comprehensive restructuring of the company.

The foundation of this restructuring is a clear and disciplined strategic concept, implemented consistently from day one. In the weeks leading up to the transfer of operations, a comprehensive action plan was prepared, defining the framework for BEW’s future direction. An experienced industry expert was appointed to the management team to drive the implementation of operational measures. In addition, BEW is supported by specialists from the Callista network, focusing on critical areas such as energy optimization and the execution of an ambitious sales initiative.

The overarching objective is to establish BEW as a preferred supplier of high-quality steel products, both in the domestic and international markets.
