Callista acquires Nobo Automotive Systems Germany GmbH from Nobo Automotive Holding GmbH & Co. KG
Munich, 11.10.2024. Callista Private Equity GmbH (“Callista”) announces the acquisition of Nobo Automotive Systems Germany GmbH from Nobo Automotive Holding GmbH & Co. KG, a subsidiary of NOBO Automotive Systems Co., Ltd. (“Seller”), by Callista Asset Management 24 GmbH (“Buyer”).
In the future, Nobo Automotive Systems Germany GmbH will operate under its new name AIOS Automotive Integrated Overhead Systems GmbH” (“AIOS” or “Company”). Founded in 1972, the Company since then is a leading producer of headliners and overhead systems for the automotive industry. With three sites across Germany, AIOS offers the entire value chain for its customers. While the plant in Überherrn is producing headliners with prior engineering and design services, the sites in Bremen and Maichingen offer value add through specific cut-outs (for e.g. sunroofs) as well as component assembly, such as speaker systems and door openers with just in sequence outbound logistics.
The Seller divests its shareholding in the Company as it was considered non-core within the group. After the transaction, AIOS will be able to focus on a dedicated strategy for its overhead systems without being tied to any group restrictions. The Company will continue its vision to be the partner of choice for its customers and reliably deliver outstanding product quality. A clear focus will be set on the acquisition of new customers to diversify its customer structure, optimize capacity utilization and to overcome the current automotive crisis in Germany successfully. “Despite the overall economic challenges the automotive industry is facing at the moment, we are looking optimistically into the future.
